Description

The second of a regular series of prints celebrating pioneers in international modernism. This print features Wim Crouwel, (born 1928, Netherlands) who has enjoyed a career spanning six decades and roles from designer, educator and curator to museum director.

He was one of the founders of Total Design, a studio established in 1963. Crouwel’s graphic work is especially well known for the use of grid-based layouts and typography that is rooted in the International Typographic Style, a key aesthetic of the Modernist movement.
